The Saber wins Pacemaker at 2020 Associated Collegiate Press Convention and other honors
On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at the online Associated Collegiate Press Convention, The Saber won the Pacemaker Award for the four-year college category for their March 2020 issue. The Pacemaker is considered the university equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize.
Layout Editor Jade Thornton and Media Editor Luka Steele also received honorable mention in the Cartoon of the Year category for four-year colleges.
Last year, The Saber was a Pacemaker finalist for their sexual assault issue, and they also won the Pacemaker in 2018.
