The Pacemaker awards were livestreamed on the ACP/CMA website.

On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at the online Associated Collegiate Press Convention, The Saber won the Pacemaker Award for the four-year college category for their March 2020 issue. The Pacemaker is considered the university equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize.

Layout Editor Jade Thornton and Media Editor Luka Steele also received honorable mention in the Cartoon of the Year category for four-year colleges.

Last year, The Saber was a Pacemaker finalist for their sexual assault issue, and they also won the Pacemaker in 2018.
